St. Alban's Anglican Church (Restoule, Ont.) is part of the Anglican Parish of Callander, Powassan, Restoule, and Chisholm located in the Nipissing District of Ontario.
In 1905 it was noted that something must be done for the region of Restoule and the "scattering Church people" residing there. In 1908 church services were still being held in the small corner schoolhouse. Proposals were being made at this time to erect a church in Restoule, but they needed to attain a site first. Rev. C. Ryan was in charge of the mission at this time.
In 1912 property was bought to build the church on. By April of 1913 the erection of the church was delayed as there was difficulty in attaining a builder, though a site was secured and the lumber wason the ground. At the end of the summer of 1913, the church was nearing completion. In February of 1914 Bishop Algoma formally opened the building, whose completion owed largely to Mr. H. G. Watts, missionary in charge.
In 1930 it was noted that the Mission of Restoule and Nipissing is impossible to keep open all year long due to a lack of men and means (which explains the many incumbent vacancies). However, a very successful summer's work was done that year in which the church was painted and a Sunday School was established at Restoule thanks to Rev. A. Rogers.
Rev. Dalton Woodward became rector of this church in 1959 and went on to serve here for 23 years, retiring in 1982. He was quoted in saying that over this time he saw the Church change a great deal, but believed the Church should set standards for moral guidelines.
In the summer of 1961 the church was raised and a new foundation was put under the building. Much of the work was done by church volunteers and summer student Jack Rose assisted greatly in the organization of the project.
This church is currently still operational.

St. George's Anglican Church (Trout Creek, Ont.) is part of the Anglican Parish of Callander, Powassan, Restoule, and Chisholm located in the Nipissing District of Ontario. In its early days, though, the church was part of the South River Mission.
Anglican services were held in Trout Creek as early as 1895 when Rev. Charles Piercy of All Saint's (Burk's Falls, Ont) visited the mission at South River, then took the train north to Trout Creek with Incumbent Rev. George Gander. Rev. Piercy held a service in that night and Holy Communion the next morning. The church building was only in its early stages of construction at this point in time.
Although not complete, St. George's officially opened for services on February 2, 1896. Before this, services were held in houses at "rare intervals." By early 1897 the members of the church were still working on its completion, but the congregation itself was steadily increasing in numbers thanks to the regularity of services held every Sunday. In 1911, though, Trout Creek was listed as a weak spot needing an infusion of Church life.
In 1917 it was noted that the church at Trout Creek suffered much due to the demands of war with all eligible men having enlisted. The attitude changed in 1919 when the church numbers increased and the interest continued. On October 10, 1922, the church held an unveiling ceremony for a memorial plaque in honour of members of the congregation who fought and died in World War One.
St. George's was closed and demolished in 1968. The memorial plaque was moved to St. Mary's in Powassan, Ontario.
Incumbents include: Rev. G. Gander (1895-1896), Rev. C. H. Buckland (1896-1898), Rev. A. J. Cobb (1898-1899), Rev. D. A. Johnston (1899-1903), Rev. H. King (1903-1905), Rev. E. M. St. John's Anglican Church (Chisholm Twp., Ont.) is part of the Anglican Parish of Callander, Powassan, Restoule, and Chisholm located in the Nipissing District of Ontario.
Chisholm was originally part of the Ottawa Diocese, but being too remote from any of their parishes or missions, did not receive much attention. St. Mary’s (Powassan, Ont.) is recorded to have served the area, and is considered the mother church of St. John’s. Rev. W. C. White was the first to make trips to Chisholm for services in people’s homes in 1890-1891 and Rev. Rowland was the first to conduct a service on Sunday in Chisholm.
Rev. Rowland was also the one who collected enough money in 1909 from Ottawa to justify the erection of a church at Chisholm, and the church was built in 1910 under the direction of Mr. Edward Topps. The first service was held on March 5, 1911, and it was dedicated on March 12, 1911 by the Right Reverend Thorneloe, Bishop of Algoma.
In 1956 it was recommended that Chisholm Township be added to the Diocese of Algoma, and so it was in 1959 based on approval by the Provincial Synod. A few years later, in 1960, St. John's celebrated its 50th anniversary. By 1974 regular services at St. John’s were discontinued due to declining attendance and there were only summer/special occasion services. In 1995, though, there was increased interest again for monthly services on Saturday evenings.
In 2011 the church celebrated its 100th anniversary, and in 2015 St John's church closed and a service of deconsecration was held.

St. Mary's Anglican Church (Powassan, Ont.) is part of the Anglican Parish of Callander, Powassan, Restoule and Chisholm in the Nipissing District of Ontario.
The first service of what would become the St. Mary’s Anglican Church (Powassan, Ont.) was held in February 1883 by Rev. Gowan Gilmore in an old schoolhouse. The turnout was small and it was later learned the notices were pulled down to discourage a return. The church was built in 1891 by Mr. Edward Topps, and Rev. White was the first missioner to hold services in this church.
The first vestry meeting was held in 1893. In 1899 the church collected money to build a parsonage and it was built not long after. In 1915 the fence surrounding the church and rectory was built and in 1918 the church was redecorated throughout. In 1921 an "Honour Roll" with names of all church members of St. Mary's in uniform (those that went to war) was put up in the church. Unfortunately this burned in the fire of 1937.
After 45 years, the church was destroyed by fire on the 25th of January 1937. Temporary quarters for services were acquired until the end of 1937. In June of 1937 part of the vacant lot behind Memorial Park was sold for the site of the new church. The new St. Mary's Anglican Church opened for service on Christmas Day, but it was formally opened January 9, 1938 and was consecrated July 10, 1938. Just five years later in January 1943 the church paid its debt, complete with a mortgage burning ceremony.
In 1944 a new "Honour Roll" was created and hung in the church for those from the parish serving in
World War II. Various renovations were completed between 1951 and 1959, including the addition of a fire escape door in the basement, flooring, walls, fluorescent lighting, and exchanging a wood furnace for an oil furnace.
St. Mary's celebrated its century of Anglican services on Sunday, September 7, 1980. The service was officiated by Bishop Frank Nock and Reverend Dalton Woodward, where a commemorative plaque was unveiled and dedicated. The three families who attended the first service in 1880 were represented by their descendants. Winnifred Scarlett-Ayers, youngest daughter of John Sampson Scarlett and part of a renowned family in the area, gifted a Canadian flag to the church. Reverend Woodward and Mrs. Woodward received a scroll of appreciation and a painting by Les Whittacker for their 21 years of service.
This church is currently still operational.
Incumbents and rectors who have served St. Mary’s include: Rev. William Crompton (1880), Rev. G. Gilmore (1881-?), Mr. McLoud (?-1889), Rev. G. Gander (1889-1890), Mr. W. C. White (1890-1891), Mr. F. St. Peter's Anglican Church (Callander, Ont.) is part of the Anglican Parish of Callander, Powassan, Restoule, and Chisholm located in the Nipissing District of Ontario. The church was originally an outstation for North Bay. It then became a separate mission by 1908, and later became part of the Powassan mission late in 1954.
The church was established in 1890. As an outstation in the 1890s Callander was receiving little attention as it was very difficult to reach for Sunday Service. Prior to the construction of St. Peter's, Rev. Gowan Gilmore held Anglican services in the hotel owned by Joseph White. St. Peter's construction began on September 6, 1892. The carpentry work was done by Edward Topps, who earlier worked on St. John's Anglican church in Chisolm and the Anglican Church in Powassan. The lumber for the church building was donated by J. R. Booth, J. B. Smith, and J. B. Fraser.
By January of 1908 Callander was separated from North Bay. In 1909 the church had a vestry erected, a stone wall was being constructed, and a handsome font was also donated to the church. Then, in 1910, new pews were provided to the church, and some choir stalls with front panelled railing.
In 1938 it was recomended by the Rural Dean that Callander be added to St. Brice's mission, North Bay - which it was for some time in the 1940's. In 1941 there were only about a dozen families that supported the church regularly. The church was moved and given a cement foundation and basement in 1954. In 1954 the church took out a loan for these and other alterations from the Diocese and by the end of 1961 it was paid off.
This church is currently still operational.
Incumbents and those who have served St. Peter's Church include: Rev. Archdeacon G. Gilmore (1885-1891), Rev. A. J. Young (1892-1897), Rev. A. W. Hazelhurst (1893-1894), Rev. W. A. J.
