Pessamit (Quebec)

Previously known as Betsimates.  A First Nations and Innu community in Quebec, located about 50 kilometres  southwest from Baie-Comeau along the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River, at the mouth of the Betsiamites River.  It belongs to the Pessamit Innu Band. In 2008, the community was renamed Pessamit Indian Reserve.
