Saddle Lake Cree Nation (Alta.)

Saddle Lake is a settlement in central Alberta. It is located on the Saddle Lake 125 Indian Reserve and is governed by the Saddle Lake Cree Nation.

The Saddle Lake Nation is a Treaty 6 nation, from the Cree language group. The nation was created in 1953 by merging the former Little Hunter (Saddle Lake), James Seenum, and Blue Quill Bands. According to a 2009 Alberta Municipal Affairs estimate, the on-reserve population of the First Nation is 5,883 making it the second most populous First Nation in Alberta (after the Blood Tribe)
