History Biographical:

Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd (Garson, Ont.) is a church in the St. Mark's Anglican Parish (Garson, Ont.). This church was located closer to the Garson Mine.

Anglican services began some years prior to 1923 with Rev. Canon Boydell, who was the incumbent at Anglican Church of the Epiphany (Sudbury, Ont.) between 1899 and 1918. Afterwards, Rev. C. C. Simpson of All Saint's Anglican Church (Coniston, Ont.) ministered to the Garson area.

The Church of the Good Shepherd was built around 1928 and consecrated four years later on May 5, 1932.

The church was relocated from its original location due to highway construction in 1958; it moved to a new lot in the Sudbury district.
