Notes: 

Note from back of drawing reads: "Diocese of Algoma, Canada. ...American Indian canoeing on the river Nipigon.  Many here are still pagan.  [?] help is needed to send missionaries to them." 

This note was affixed to the cloth with tape and was removed for conservation concerns.  It is stored with the cloth drawing.
