St. George's Anglican Church (North Cobalt, Ont.) makes up the single-point parish of St. George's Anglican Parish (North Cobalt, Ont.
St. George's church was opened early in March, 1909 while the meeting of the Rural Deanery of Nipissing was being held in Cobalt. The church received a grant from the S.P.C.K. (Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge) for £30; the church was expected to cost $1, 300 total. By 1913, the North Cobalt church was part of a mission that included Temagami and Latchford.
On October 4, 1922, St. George's was one of the churches destroyed in the fire that afflicted the Tamiskaming area. By the next year, the new church was well on its way to completion.
