(16 March 1843 Mossland Hall, Lancashire, England - 20 April 1899 Emsdale) - Educated at the Manchester Grammar School; Lichfield Theological College (1871); University of Western Canada BD (1887); Deacon: 1873, Priest: 1875 Lichfield; Riviere de Loup & Quarentine Stations, Quebec (1876); Curate of Longton, Staffordshire (1876-1877); Erin & Garafraxa, Diocese of Niagara (1878-1880); SPG Missionary at Rosseau (1880-1890); Rural Dean of Parry Sound & Nipissing (1887-1899); Burk's Falls with Emsdale (1890); Emsdale (1890-1899); Standing Committee of the Diocese of Algoma 1892-1899; Buried in the Anglican cemetery at Emsdale. Married: Aagot Caroline Johanna (1846-1930) of Oslo, Norway. Children: Margaret, Thyra & Lucia Alice. Dismissed from Rosseau due to chronic alcoholism.
