History Biographical: 

Theatre Algoma was established in 1972 as a student drama club at Algoma University College .The group was founded by Dr. Robert d'Amato, who served as Artistic Director until he retired in 2002. Early funding for the group came from AUC, the Sault Opera Society, and the Sault Theatre Workshop.
