History Biographical: 

Residence construction, 1995The Physical Plant Department at Algoma University is responsible for the up-keep and maintenance of the University’s grounds and buildings as well as the planning, development, and construction of new infrastructure. The department is responsible for logistics and mail services, security, and energy management.

Physical plant staff also work with vendors and community partners to coordinate new construction and renovations of existing buildings and infrastructure.

Photograph on right is of the groundbreaking for the Spirit Village residence buildings in 1995.
