Bethune, Charles James Stewart

Educated at Trinity College, Toronto BA (1859) (1st Classics & 4th Math) MA (1862) DCL (1883); FRS Canada (1906); Deacon: 1861, Priest: 1862 Toronto; Curate of St. Peter's, Coburg (1861-1863), (1864-1866); Carlton, Yks (1863-1864); Incumbent Credit, Ontario (1866-1870); Headmaster Trinity School, Port Hope (1870-1899); Professor of Agriculture, University of Guelph (1906-1920). Helped James Chance and the Bishop of Toronto lay the cornerstone for St. Luke's, Sault Ste. Marie on the 22nd of July, 1870.
