Margaret Trapper's full name is Marry Margaret Trapper Mowatt, she is a member of the Cree Nation of Washaw Sibi. She was born on May 24, 1947 at Haricana River. She is the daughter of Mina Reben Trapper Wylde and Allan Trapper. Margaret entered Shingwauk Residential School in Sault Ste. Marie in 1953. She attended Shingwauk for nine years and attended high school for three. In July 1966, Margaret married Fred Mowattin in Val Paradis, Quebec. They moved to Pikogan in June 1967. In September 1970 their first daughter Suzie was born. They later had two additional children, Beatrice and Freddy. Margaret has acted as a Cree Elder within Washaw Sibi.
Fonds comprises photographs of students and staff at Shingwauk Indian Residential School, 1953-1965.
Accrual 2010-032 donated to the Shingwauk Project sometime between 1990 and 2010.
