Educated at King's College, London; AKC (1st) (1891) Trinity College, Dublin (1896); University of Durham LTh (1908); Deacon: 1891, Priest: 1892 Rochester; St. Saviour, Battersea (1891-1893); Sutton-Mattock, Salop (1893-1896); St. Thomas, Brampton (1896-1898); Morpeth (1898-1901); Wollaston Salop (1901-1904); St. Luke, Wallsend (1904-1906); St. Peter, Newcastle (1906-1907); St. Stephen, Ruthgate, Diocese of Glasgow (1916); Emsdale (1919-1920), returned to Diocese of Glasgow 1920. Wrote: "The Anchor within the Veil", London: Elliot Stock, 1917.
