Smedley, Julian Sale (1895-1972)

(5 November 1895 Richard's Landing, St. Joseph's Island- 17 August 1972). Educated at Trinity College, Toronto LTh (1925); Canadian Forces Overseas World War One - 119th Battalion - badly wounded; Deacon: 1925, Priest: 1926 Algoma; Curate at Port Carling (1925-1926), Incumbent at Port Carling (1926-1929); St. Thomas', Bracebridge (1929-1949); St. John's with St. Michael's, Port Arthur (1940-1952); Rural Dean of Thunder Bay (1947-1950); St. John the Evangelist, Sault Ste. Marie (1952); Archdeacon of Algoma Deanery (1950-1965); retired to Bracebridge; Daughter Jean married the Rev'd Fred Roberts; Smedley married Mary Emily White on the 25th of August 1925 with Canon Ben Fuller officiating.
