Educated at Trinity College, Dublin & Wycliffe College, Toronto; Deacon: 1881, Priest: 1883 Algoma; Garden River, (spring 1881 & January to July 1883); St. Mary's, Negwennenang on Lake Nipigon (1880-1893); St. Luke's Pro-Cathedral, Sault Ste. Marie & Rural Dean of Algoma (1895-1899); St. John's Albuquerque, New Mexico (1899-1903); Berkeley, California (1903-1908); Los Angeles - General Missioner for the Diocese (1908-1927). Married: Mary Elizabeth Kennedy, an American who died on the 1st of December 1891 and is buried at Nipigon along with their ten year old son Frank as a result of scarlet fever. Sons Robert, William and George all became Anglican clergy.
