History Biographical: 

The Reverend William Coombe Dunn born 21 February 1891.  He emigrated to Canada in 1912 as an Society for the Propagation of the Gospel missionary sponsored by St. Giles', Plymouth, UK.  He was made a catechist in the Diocese of Algoma in 1913.  He was educated at Bishop's College, Lennoxville, Quebec receiving his Licentiate in Sacred Theology in 1918.  He was made deacon in 1918 and priested in 1919 in Algoma. Dunn served at Nipigon (1919-1924) with Dorion (1923-1924); Little Current (1924-1926); Restoule with Nipissing (1926-1929); He later moved to the Diocese of Quebec and service at Malby with Beauchais (1928-1933); Kingsley with Spooner Pond & Denison's Mills (1933-1937); and Sawyerville (1937) .  Dunn passed away on July 17, 1979.

Scope Content: 

Fonds comprises the three volumes of J. James Tissot's Illustrated Life of Christ (1903 edition).  The inside cover page of volume one is inscribed "To the Rev. Mr. W. C. Dunn from the Scholars of St. Mary's Nipigon Sunday School Christmas 1919."
