(born 24 September 1871 Toronto) - Educated at the University of Toronto & Wycliffe College; Deacon: 1894, Priest 1896 Toronto; Curate St. John's, Weston (1894-1895); Assistant Priest St. Stephen's, Toronto (1895-1899); Rector of St. Luke's Pro-Cathedral in Sault Ste. Marie (1899-1905); Curate of St. John the Evangelist, Ottawa (1905-1913); Chaplain with the Honorary Rank of Captain in 1901 with the 97th Regiment, Pettwawa; Promoted to the Honorary Rank of Major in 1911; Married Clara Spalding Tomlinson in 1901; Suffered nervous breakdown in October of 1913 and confined to Homewood in Guelph. Wrote: "The Story of Bawating, being the Annals of Sault Ste. Marie" (1904); "Indian Legends" (1905); The Warriors of Ojibway Country, (1909).
