Balfour, Charles Wilfred (1877-1973)

(22 April 1877 Richmond, Quebec - 4 May 1973 Peace River, Alberta); nephew of the Reverend Andrew Balfour of Quebec; Educated at Bishop's College, Lennoxville MA; Deacon: 1900, Priest: 1901 Quebec; St. Maurice & Sherbrooke as Assistant Curate (1900); Huntsville (1905-1913); Algoma delegate to the Pan Anglican Congress (1908); St. John's, North Bay (1913-1923); St.Luke's Pro-Cathedral in Sault Ste. Marie (1923-1937); St. Paul's, Fort William (1937-1951); Retired to Peterborough where he was Honorary Assistant at St. John's and later All Saints'. Archdeacon of Algoma Deanery (1921-1935); Went to Peace River to live with daughter Joyce (Mrs. [The Very Rev'd] James Harbin); Married: Katherine Thorneloe on the 8th of June 1910.
