London - 3 May 1927 Tacoma, Washington) - Educated at King's College, London; Exeter College, Oxford; St. Augustine's College, Canterbury, Maryland; DD Seabury College, Faribault, Minnesota; Deacon: 1865, Priest: 1866 Huron; St. Luke's, Sault Ste. Marie & Garden River (with 15 outstations) & Bishop's Chaplain (1876-1881); resigned from St. Luke's after publicly defending his alleged affair with Miss Plummer which shocked E.F. Wilson; collected $1,000 during tour of Southern Ontario for the construction of the original frame structured St. Luke's rectory. Probate judge & County judge at St. Vincent's, Minnesota (1884-1888); Hon. Canon St. Paul's Cathedral, Diocese of Minnesota 1888; Archdeacon of Minnesota responsible for the districts of North Dakoka & Duluth; Missionary spokesman for the SPG in England; Trondhyem, Norway & Cologne, Germany, (1907-1913). Married Ester (born 1846). Children: Thomas,Stephen, Harriet, Lilla, Mary.
