A purse. All visible sides are completely covered in bead work. The colourful designs include flowers, diagonal lines and British North America and Union Jack flags on a white background. The inside lining is an empty dark green satin which is stitched in place by the brass clasp and closure. The handle is separated at one end and was originally completely wrapped in beads.

Box 008 is over-sized.
Two rectangular cuffs. Identical (reversed) textile strips with teal satin trim and decorative bead work. The front features applique bead work of colorful flowers and leaves connected by stems on a black background. The back side is comprised of the teal satin trim wrapping over from the front and stitch seams from the front bead work on a woven textile.

A2.WIL: The period concentrating on Reverend Edward Francis Wilson's arrival , and the subsequent building of the Shingwauk Indian Residential School , 1871-1892. Reverend E.F. Wilson was principal of the school from 1873 - 1892, and thereafter was relocated to Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
The A2.WIL.0 collection included bead work collected by Reverend E.F. Wilson and Archibald Wilson, Principal of Elkhorn, Residential School, Washakada. The bead work is most likely from the late 1800s. Mrs. Graham, a descendant of E.F. Wilson, graciously donated the bead work to the Shingwauk Project. She said, "I want these to go back to where they belong".

An oval shape band. The front of the cuff features a dark green velvet background with a blue satin edging trim. There are hand beaded designs on the velvet textile. The bead work is a floral design including various flowers attached by stems. The back side is comprised of the blue satin trim wrapping over from the front and stitch seams from the front bead work on a woven cotton textile.
