History Biographical: 

Thomas Hahn was a music professor at Algoma University College and founding principal (1971) of the Algoma Conservatory of Music.  Hahn was Artistic Director of the Algoma Fall Festival in 1973-1974.  Prior to coming to Sault Ste. Marie, Hahn served as conductor (1967-1970) of the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra.

Scope Content: 

Fonds comprises records documenting Hahn's activities at Algoma University College and the Algoma Conservatory of Music.  Includes the literary archives of his monograph, "The History of Music from 1750 to the Present."

Records in accrual 2015-022 appear to have been placed in storage in between 1990-1993 by Draxey David, administrative assistant to the Director of Administration.  Ken Hernden identified and appraised the records for retention in March 2015.  Further accruals may be expected.
