History Biographical: 

Michael A. Keppel-Jones was a professor of physics and astronomy at Algoma University College.  He took his B. Sc at Natal, South Africa; his B. A. (hons.) at Toronto; his M. Sc. at Queen's (Kingston) and his Ph. D. at Cornell.

Scope Content: 

Fonds comprises documents recording Dr. Keppel-Jones activities as a faculty member at Algoma University College. Includes minutes and reports of committees, records of AUC's search for a permanent principal in 1971-1972, and other materials.

Materials in accession 2014-073 were given by Keppel-Jones to Professor Don Jackson.  They were stored in Algoma University's shipping and receiving building until October 3, 2014, when they were transferred to the university archives.

Materials in accession 2015-044 were given by Keppel-Jones to Professor Don Jackson.  They were stored by Jackson until October 26, 2015 when they were transferred to the university archives.
