Born Margaret Clare in Atherley, Ontario. Mrs. Wright was the daughter of a clergyman. She attended Victoria College in Toronto and began a teaching career in Tweed, Ontario, where she met the future Archbishop William Lockridge Wright. The Wrights wer wed on July 30, 1936 in the chapel at Trinity College in Toronto by the groom's father, The Reverend John DePencier Wright. In 1940 the Wrights moved to Sault Ste. Marie.
Mrs. Wright was very active for many years in many church womens' organizations, and over the the years, she had a very special interest in the work of St. Hilda's girls' school in Kangra, India.
Mrs. Wright passed away in 1988.
