Sod Turning Ceremony for All Saints Parish Hall by Most Rev W.L. Wright Archbishop of Algoma

The All Saints' Anglican Church building was designed by J.B. Parkin Architects. A sod turning ceremony for the All Saints Parish Hall was officiated by Most Rev. W.L. Wright, Archbishop of Algoma, in September 1959.

On Sunday, November 5, 1961 the Archbishop of Algoma announced that All Saints could become a self-supporting parish with Rev. Warren C.S. Banting as the first Rector. Rev. Banting would go on to hold this role until the church closed.

Congregation assembled for Corner Stone Laying Ceremony outside All Saints Mission

Faced with a large deficit and a declining membership the congregation of All Saints voted in the fall of 1969 to close the church at the end of the year.  Because of the proximity of other churches in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario it was felt that people would attend the nearest church, with a large portion of the congregation being absorbed by the Holy Trinity Parish (Sault Ste. Marie, ON).

Incumbents include: Rev. Bruce W. Fraser (1958-1959), and Rev. Warren C. S. Banting (1959-1969).
