History Biographical: 

The Anglican Church of the Holy Family (Matthiasville, Ont.) is part of the multi-point St. Paul's Anglican Parish (Uffington, Ont.).

The S.S.J.E. (Society of St. John the Evangelist) were in charge of the Anglican Church of the Holy Family, a small church located within the Muskoka Deanery. By 1932 the church building had been constructed with re-purposed material from a parsonage. The roof was built steep giving the church the nickname "the sky-scraper church".
