The Office of Vice-President Academic and Research (VPAR) existed at Algoma University from 2011 to 2014. Dr. David Schantz was the only incumbent. Prior to 2011, the Academic Dean briefly bore the title Associate Vice-President Academic and Research. After 2014 duties of the Office of the VPAR were distributed to the Office of the Academic Dean and the Office of the President.
