The Great Lakes Red Book pocket-sized books were published yearly by Penton Publishing Company in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1987 Freshwater Press, Inc. purchased The Great Lakes Red Book. Each book contains listings of Great Lake Vessels together with the name of the owner, captain, master and engineer.  The books are indexed by vessel name, fleet, and owner name.
