The Shingwauk Residential Schools Centre is located in EW 202 in the East Wing of the main Algoma University campus building, off of Shingwauk Hall.
We welcome drop-in visitors and have access copies photographs from residential schools across Canada that visitors are welcome to look at in the Centre. For more complex research requests we suggest contacting us in advance of your visit.
HOURS:
Monday, Wednesday Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday, Tuesday: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Archival services, site tours, and services for Survivors and their families are available outside of these times with an appointment. Site tours must be booked two weeks in advance. Contact us for more information.
