Accession comprises records relating to Foster's career as Member of Parliament for Algoma, chairman of several House of Commons Committees, Chairman of the Ontario Liberal Caucus, and his work with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. Includes records relating to Algoma-Manitoulin Nuclear Awareness and various Standing Committees.
Part of the file series which are arranged by subject consist of pamphlets, press releases, press clippings, reports and miscellaneous documents. A few files may have a few items of correspondence interspersed with other items.
The Papers were donated to Queen's University Archives by Dr. Maurice B. Foster. This accession was arranged and processed by Queen's University Archives staff (George F. Henderson, Mark Ruzylo, Rodney Stott, and Matthew Young) in 1993. With the agreement of Dr. Foster's family, this accession was transferred to Algoma University Archives in July 2015.
