Jean-Paul Dubreuil is a member of the Francophone community in Sault Ste Marie. He is active in the Centre Francophone Sault-Ste.-Marie and has held many positions with the Centre including councilor and vice-president.
Fonds comprises records gathered by Mr. Dubreuil concerning the English-Only language motion passed by the City of Sault Ste. Marie's municipal council. Includes copies of media clipping, a recording "20 Years On" by the CBC, letters from Mr. Napoleon Dubreuil declining his participation in the city being awarded the 1990 Forestry Capital of Canada Award (Mr. Dubreuil was part of the family that started the logging community of Dubreuilville, Ontario), and copies of the court case: "Re: Chaperon et. al. and Corporation of the city of Sault Ste. Marie (and) Re: Guth et. al. and Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie."
