History Biographical:

St. Barnabas' Anglican Church (Cache Bay, Ont.) makes up the single-point parish of St. Barnabas' Anglican Parish (Cache Bay, Ont.). In the early years, the church was part of the Sturgeon Falls Mission.

Prior to the construction of the church, Anglican services were held as early as 1892. The wood church was erected in the fall of 1903, and the first church service was held on Christmas Day of that same year. The church was formally opened by the Bishop on January 11, 1904. The church received the addition of a vestry in May 1906, and a belfry and bell in August 1907, which was donated by A.R. Martin.

In 1913, a severe windstorm damaged the roof of the church by breaking its supports. The repairs were made immediately.

The church was moved to a new site and rededicated in 1934, with electric lighting installed in 1935.
