The Anglican Deanery of Thunder Bay is one of five deaneries that comprise the Anglican Diocese of Algoma. The deanery has twelve churches and one mission, is served by ten clergy. It includes the Anglican parishes from Marathon on the east to Rosslyn Village and Murillo on the west.
In 1976, the Diocese was restructured to close the Deanery of Superior. The parish of Nipigon (including Red Rock, Dorion, and Schreiber) and the parish of Manitouwadge (including Marathon) were moved to the Deanery of Thunder Bay.
The current Archdeacon of Thunder Bay is the Venerable Deborah Kraft.

Accession 2009-249 was part of the Diocese of Algoma's records transferred to Algoma University from Laurentian University in May 2009 in transfer box 047. Accession 2013-068 was transferred to Algoma University by Patricia Mark, Lay Steward, Deanery of Thunder Bay via Mr. Fred Neal, Diocesan Archivist.
