The Senate of Algoma University, established in 2008 by Province of Ontario by virtue of The Algoma University Act, 2008, S.O. 2008, C-13, has the duties, subject to the approval of the board with respect to the expenditure of funds, is responsible for the educational policy of the University and may enact by-laws and regulations for the conduct of its affairs.
