This file contains files relating to the Heritage site of the Bishop Farquier Memorial Chapel and the project of restoring the chapel. It contains a historical overview of the Bishop Farquier Memorial Chapel (one made by the Heritage committee and the other made by CSAA) and the chapel's historical significance to wider Sault Ste. Marie community. Later in the file there are applications from CSAA with SET to the Heritage committee and the city to approve a grant to allow them to restore the chapel. There are financial estimates and correspondence within the file between each of the groups as well as agreements that were signed by the parties. This file has several years of different initiatives toward preserving the chapel, starting from 1981 when the property was made a heritage site, to renovation funds in 1994, and then to the CSAA restoration project in 2012-2013. The record is available electronically through the Shingwauk Residential Schools Centre pending the city's approval to release the file.
