This is an Ojibway hymn book that was created in Nipigon, Ontario in 1931. The hymn book is in good condition, however it is contained in a black sleeve that has significant signs of wear and damaged side bindings.

Note on inside cover: " Avec l'explication de chaque tableau. Reproduction autorisee par la mailson de la bonne-presse, paris. Traduit en langue Crise et adaptée aux Indiens de la Baie James." The book contains catechism lessons in Cree syllabics, and was adapted to teach the people of James Bay.
