History Biographical:

Originally named Trinity Anglican Church was erected in the summer of 1920 by builder Richard Hamill and consecrated on July 3, 1921 by Archbishop George Thornloe.  Funds and property to build the church were donated by George Edwards in 1919.

The building was designed in the Tudor Gothic style and was built upon solid rock, with a masonry foundation and frame structure.  The exterior and roof were shingled with cedar from British Columbia and the stained glass windows were manufactured by the Dominion Glass Company. The church was constructed as summer church and was not insulated for winter services.  The first ordained minister of the church was Rev. Christopher Lord who served as minister until 1931.

The Ven. J.H. Watson, Rector of Trinity ( 1967—1980 ) used one of the church's vestry rooms to create “The Chapel of the Welsh Saints.” The Chapel of the Welsh Saints was dedicated by the Archbishop William Wright in 1974. In 1975 the Guild room was added under the direction of Rev. Watson and lay reader Jock Menzies. The Guild room and church rectory and were both taken down in the mid-1990s due to disrepair.

In the mid 1970s the church's name changed from Trinity Church to Trinity St. Albans. This name change reflected a desire to commemorate a small church in Torrance, Ontario named St. Albans that was taken down in the 1950s and the subsequent amalgamation of the congregation.

In 2004 a parish hall was added to the church.  In September 2005 the Bishop of Algoma, Right Rev. Ronald C. Ferris, dedicated the hall.  Church services are currently held in the parish hall during the winter months.

Incumbents have included: Rev. Christopher Lord (1918-1924),  Rev. P. Steed (1924-1925), Rev. James Hutton (1927-1929), Rev. Thomas Daniel (1929-1931), Rev. John Robinson (1931-1934), Rev. Richard C.
