History Biographical: 
Records in this series were prepared with the assistance of a Canada Works Grant under the sponsorship of Algoma University College. Ferris was project director for The 50 Years of Labour in Algoma book project.
Scope Content: 
Series comprises records from the 50 Years of Labour in Algoma book project directed by John Ferris and published at Algoma University College in 1978. Includes proof draft, rough draft and editor's notes, research correspondence, personnel correspondence, and agenda and minutes of the project team's meatings. Also includes transcripts and audio recordings used in the writing of 50 Years of Labour in Algoma, as well as several versions of the questions and guidelines used in doing the interviews.
