History Biographical: 
The McIntosh Indian Residential School was open from March 1925 to June 1969. It was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and run by the Oblates. It was located in McIntosh, Ontario, in Treaty 3 Territory.

St Joseph's Indian Residential School series

History Biographical: 
St. Joseph's Residential School in Fort William, Ontario was open from 1870-1966, it was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and was operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste Marie. The school was originally established as "The Orphan Asylum of Fort William" and was exclusively for girls. The original school was located on Fort William Indian Reserve, in 1907 the school moved to Franklin Street, Fort William. The school operated in conjunction with the orphanage run by the Sisters, both the orphanage and school were demolished in 1966.

History Biographical: 
The Cecilia Indian Residential School operated in Kenora, Ontario, Treaty 3 Territory from 1902 to 1974. From 1902-1929 the school was affiliated with the United Church and was located on the Shoal Lake Indian Reserve. From 1929-1974 the school was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and was located at Round Lake, Northeast of Kenora, Ontario. The school was named in memory of a member of the Women's Missionary Society, who had worked as the secretary of Indian work in the northwest.

History Biographical: 
The St. Mary's Indian Residenital school operated from 1897-1972, in Kenora, Ontario, in Treaty 3 Territory. The school was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and was operated by the Oblates and the Grey Nuns. When the school opened it could accommodate up to forty students. In 1915 the number of students was increased to seventy pupils.
