History Biographical: 
Mark Solomon graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Native Studies in 1999. He completed his Master of Arts in history in 2003. Since 2006, Mark has worked at Seneca college, as a Manager of First Peoples at Seneca and a Manager of Student Development.
Scope Content: 
Collection comprises research notes, research material, and writing compiled and created by Mark Solomon in relation to the Shingwauk and Wawanosh Indian Residential Schools. The majority of this collection was compiled by Mark Solomon in 2003 when he was working on his Master's thesis.

Ivy Hepton lived in the North throughout the 1950s and 1960s. She lived in Fort George (now known as Chisasibi) and Moose Factory for a large portion of this time. She worked at the hospital in both communities.
