History Biographical:
St. Charles Garnier (1947-165) and St. Joseph's (1913-1965) Indian Residential Schools operated in Spanish Ontario. St. Joseph's school was operated by the Daughters of the Heart of Mary and was a residential school for girls. Adjacent to the St. Joseph's was St. Peter Claver School for boys. The Garnier high school operated as part of the boys school.
